Pinning Ceremonies

The Nurse Honor Guard conducts pinning ceremonies for new nurses to honor their entry into the nursing profession and to recognize the dedication, perseverance, and compassion required to reach this milestone. The pinning ceremony is a cherished nursing tradition that symbolizes the transition from student to professional nurse—an acknowledgment that they have chosen a path of service, integrity, and care.

By participating in these ceremonies, the Nurse Honor Guard helps new nurses feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated as they join a long legacy of individuals committed to healing and advocating for others. Our presence reinforces the value of the profession, the importance of upholding its standards, and the pride that comes with earning the title of “nurse.”

Future nurses, we want to welcome you into the nursing profession. We are excited to have you as our nurse colleagues. We thank you for your courage to answer the Call and we are honored to have you join us.
