Who’s the Nurse Honor Guard of Northern California
Preserving Traditions, Celebrating Nurse’s Life Legacy, and Upholding Professional Values
The Nurse Honor Guard of Northern California exists to honor the dedication, compassion, and lifelong service of nurses. Throughout their careers, nurses give their time, skill, and emotional strength to care for others—often during the most vulnerable moments of a person’s life. Just as military and public service members are formally recognized for their commitment, nurses also deserve a meaningful tribute that acknowledges the countless lives they have comforted, healed, and supported.
Our ceremonies are a heartfelt way to say thank you for a lifetime of service to the nursing profession and the communities they served.
All services are provided at no cost to nurses or their families.
Our Story

Established
The Nurse Honor Guard of Northern California was founded through the efforts of two dedicated groups: the Northern California Kaiser Nurses Honor Guard (established in 2022) and the Hmong Nurses Association Hmong Nurse Honor Guard (established in 2024). In 2025, these groups united to form one organization, expanding their reach and compassion under the name Nurse Honor Guard of Northern California. Together, they now proudly serve and honor all nurses and nursing students throughout the Northern California region.
